How we collect SMS consent

Last updated 22 September 2026

This page exists so anyone reviewing our messaging, including a mobile carrier, can see exactly where consent is collected and what it says, without needing an account or a login.

Where consent is collected

Consent is collected on our booking form at augustmarketing.co.uk/book, which is a scheduling form embedded on that page. A person reaches it by choosing to book a discovery call with us.

The mobile number field is optional to complete in the sense that no messages are sent unless a number is entered. There is no pre-ticked box anywhere in the flow, and we never buy, rent or import mobile numbers from any other source.

The wording shown on the form

The mobile number field on the booking form carries this text directly beneath it:

By providing your mobile number you agree to receive text messages from August Marketing about this booked call only: a confirmation, a reminder the day before, and reminders three hours and one hour before. About 4 messages per booked call. No marketing texts. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our privacy policy at augustmarketing.co.uk/privacy-policy.

What we send

Four messages per booked call at most: a confirmation within minutes of booking, a reminder the day before, a reminder three hours before, and a reminder one hour before carrying the joining link. If the call is rescheduled the remaining messages move with it. If it is cancelled, they stop.

We do not send promotional, marketing or sales text messages to numbers collected this way, and we do not add these numbers to any other list.

Opting out

Replying STOP to any message stops all further messages immediately and permanently. Replying HELP returns our contact details. You can also email seb@augustmarketing.co.uk and we will remove the number. Opting out of text messages does not cancel your call.

What happens to the number

No mobile information is sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent is not shared with any third party, other than the messaging provider that delivers the message on our behalf. Our full privacy policy and terms and conditions set out the rest.
